As you've probably heard by now, today, October 21, 2015 AD, is the day that Marty McFly arrived in the future in Back to the Future 2. In honor of this occasion Nike has announced they will release real, honest-to-god, self-lacing shoes just like the ones Marty wore in the movie.
Nike teased the news yesterday, but today Michael J. Fox tweeted out a photo of himself slipping on the limited edition kicks, confirming their release.
Nike already released a version of Air Mags four years agobut although they looked like the future shoes, they couldn't replicate those iconic power laces.
Nike designer Tinker Hatfield finally cracked it, though. He sent Michael J. Fox a letter on Wednesday saying that "although the project started as science fiction, now proud to turn that fiction into fact."
