For the past 12 years, Mishka has been shaking up the streetwear scene with its weirdo graphics, loud patterns, and fuck off attitude. The Brooklyn brand has long been known to play off our nostalgia with references to old video games and comic books like Pac-Man and Casper. So, it only made sense that this time around they'd give our favorite childhood show a makeover.
Mishka has just teamed up with Sesame Street for a 15-piece collection that reinterprets the show's classic characters. The pieces feature favorites like Cookie Monster with the brand's iconic bloodshot eyes and Count Von Count rocking a flat brim hat and du-rag.
Big Bird, the Two-Headed Monster, Mr. Snuffleupagus, Bert, Ernie, Elmo, Grover, and Lefty are also given the Mishka treatment thanks to artists Lamour Supreme, Arik Roper, and VICE's Nicholas Gazin.
For the lookbook, shot by photographer Koki Sato, Mishka called on the New York City dance crew We Live This, who performed around the city wearing the new pieces. Check out the rest of the lookbook below.
